Jet Plasma
What is Jet Plasma?
Jet Plasma is the most advanced plasma technology to tighten skin, shrink pores, and promote collagen production. It lightens hyperpigmentation, even melasma, and kills acne bacteria (a great alternative for teens). It's a great option to help with rosacea and reduce appearance of wrinkles without the pain and downtime. This device uses Jet and cold plasma for the best results at lower temperatures.
Why Jet Plasma?
Jet Plasma uses direct current (DC) rather than alternating current (AC), which allows the device to 'scan' the skin. This means it can be uses on larger areas without creating as much damage and the downtime is much less than other plasma devices. Jet Plasma will sterilize the face and promote collagen regeneration while it tightens and brightens the skin, makes dull skin disappear, helps clogged pores and kills bacteria all in one session.Jet Plasma is a great alternative to Fibroblast, depending on the situation. You will not have carbon dots, so no downtime or worrying about taking time off of work. Jet Plasma can be combined with Fibroblast for the most optimal result. To see which treatment is the best for you, feel free to contact us for a free consultation!

How long does it last?
For most clients, results will appear immediately but continue to improve over the following 12 weeks. On a non-muscle treated area (ex. the eyelids) the results can last up to 5 years. On a muscle related area (ex. Forehead, crow's feet, smile lines, etc.) the results can last 1-2 years depending on your skin condition and aging process. Plasma Skin Tightening does not slow down aging.
How many treatments will I need?
Results will be seen after a single session, but best results will be seen over time. One to four sessions are suggested dependent on skin laxity, lifestyle, aging process, etc.
Does it hurt?
A topical numbing is applied to all treatment areas for one hour. You will feel a brief heat sensation that feels like a tiny prick, but the needle never actually comes in contact with the skin. The treatment process is designed to minimize any potential discomfort.
What are the side effects?
Most clients will have temporary redness, and some will have minor swelling after the treatment, but this usually goes away within 24 hours. Hyperpigmentation to the treated area may occur on clients with medium to dark skin so please alert your technician if you feel this could be you.
How long before I can get back to my normal activities?
Clients are able to resume to their normal activity immediately after the session, provided it does not interfere with aftercare advice. Downtime is subjective and depends on the definition the client assigns to the word. We will discuss this prior to your treatment so we can cater to you and your time in the best way possible.

Does it hurt?

Everyone's pain tolerance is different. The degree of discomfort will depend on several factors. We use two forms of numbing agents; one before starting and one after the skin has been broken. It's important to not have caffeine prior to the treatment as well. You will feel some scratching while we are marking the shape and design of the brow. After the second numbing agent is applied, discomfort should be minimal. Having this service performed during your menstrual cycle may also increase discomfort.

How long will my brows last?

It can last anywhere between 1-3 years depending on skin type and lifestyle. Annual touch-ups are recommended to maintain the color and integrity of the brows.

How many treatments are needed?

For most clients, a minimum of two treatments are usually needed, at least 6-10 weeks apart. With most procedures, the color looks dramatically lighter after the first week. Some clients prefer this, while others opt for a bolder look. At the second session, we will assess the color retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. If your cosmetic tattoo does not heal perfectly after the first session, do not worry! We can always go darker and add more density at your next appointment.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have had your eyebrows previously tattooed and are interested in a cover-up/re-work, we cannot guarantee results for cases such as these and we must approve that your eyebrows are workable. In some cases where the previous work is too dark, dense, discolored, or large, tattoo removal will be highly recommended before we begin the cover-up/re-work. Previously tattooed areas and cover-ups will almost always require additional touch-ups for best results and will be charged accordingly.

What factors will affect my cosmetic treatment?

Sun exposure: The sun will extremely soften the look of your tattoo, so sunblock should be used (once healed) to prolong your enhancement. A hat should be worn during the first two weeks if exposed to the sun for long periods.

The regeneration of skin cells: The longer the regeneration takes, the longer the pigment holds.

The speed at which the skin absorbs the pigment: The slower the absorption, the longer the pigment will hold.
The choice of color: Some colors fade quicker than others, e.g. a blonde color will fade quicker than a dark brown color.

Bleeding during the procedure: Any bleeding during the tattooing procedure will reduce the amount of pigment absorption. Alcohol and certain medications act as blood-thinners and should not be taken prior to and following your appointment.

What should I do before my eyebrow procedure?

-
If you have an ideal shape and color in mind, bring a few reference photos with you to your appointment.
-
You may fill in your eyebrows as you normally would so we can take into consideration the shape you desire. If you regularly get your eyebrows shaped, waxed, threaded or tinted, please do so at least 3 days before your appointment. If there are any stray hairs that fall outside of our final shape, we can remove them.
-
If you plan to go on a vacation, it is recommended to plan your trip a minimum of 14 days after the procedure.
-
We require our clients to avoid any blood thinning medication for a minimum of 1 week prior to their appointment. This includes Vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, fish oil supplements, and Ibuprofen.
-
Do not drink any alcohol the night before and day of your appointment and limit the amount of caffeine you consume.
-
If you have been on prescription Accutane in the past, you MUST wait at least one year before considering this procedure.
-
It is highly recommended that you avoid SUN and TANNING BED exposure for 30 days BEFORE and AFTER your procedure. If you show up for your appointment with a new tan or a sunburn, you will need to reschedule and will forfeit your deposit. As your skin exfoliates from a sunburn, it will take the pigment with it.

How will I look immediately after? What is the healing process?

Your semi-permanent makeup will appear darker and more intense than expected for the first few days. This will gradually lighten during the complete healing process. Redness and swelling are minimal. Your eyebrows will start to scab off and will take up to two weeks for it to fall off and heal.
